Julmarknad i Marstal Ærø

Vi firade vår allra första jul i Danmark och precis som i Sverige har danskarna julmarknader. Så klart att vi måste gå och kika vad danskarna gör på sina julmarknader och vad som skiljer sig.

I veckoavisen som man får varje vecka i brevlådan hittade vi en hel sida med hålltider till allting som man kunde göra på julmarknaden i Marstal. Jag måste säga att det var avsevärt fler saker än vad som man i Sverige normalt erbjuds att göra, åtminstone på många ställen.

Jag och lillan gick iväg och tog del av både trevliga café, julmarknad, dans kring granen, högläsning på biblioteket, konsert i kyrkan och mycket mer.

 Christmas market in Marstal Ærø

So we’ve celebrated our very first Christmas in Denmark and just like in Sweden the danish have a Christmas market. This was something we really had to go and participate in cause they are usually very fun and we were eager to see the differences from the Swedish ones.

In the weekly paper that comes out to everyone living on Ærø there was a whole page with all times and what you could do at the Christmas market in Marstal. I have to admit that it was quite a lot more you could do here in Denmark then what you normally can find at a Swedish Christmas market.

Some of the things me and my little one got to do was to visit a lovely café, the market with the stalls, dancing around the tree, storytelling at the library, a concert at the church and much more.
